A Continued Active Pattern WV 2-18-13

The active pattern continues this week as multiple systems will create more wintry weather for the region. I personally am loving it!

Today has started out in a rather gorgeous manner and those pleasant conditions will persist for the entirety of the day. Much warmer temperatures than this weekend and bluebird skies will make for a perfect day on the slopes.

Our next system quickly approaches the region overnight. The associated cold front will move through tomorrow morning.  Rain is expected for the southern portion of the region while snow showers look to be a good bet for the northern mountains into western Maryland.  Northwest flow will keep snow showers going in this part of the region through Tuesday night and possibly into early Wednesday.  Accumulations don’t look to be too crazy but several inches is expected.

Canadian high pressure returns for Wednesday. Chilly temperatures and breezy winds will make for some blustery conditions.  It’s going to be rather cold.  Thursday will see sunshine and temperatures will moderate significantly from the day before.

Our next system arrives Friday and looks to bring yet another wintry mix event into play. Precip will last into Saturday before we dry out for the final day of the weekend.
