A Wet and Dreary Friday NC 6-7-13

Tropical Storm Andrea is currently over the eastern Carolinas and will continue to track up the eastern seaboard today.  We also have a cold front off to our west that will move through the region today.  We're sandwiched!  Showers continue this morning but we should have a lull in the action early on in the afternoon.  However, that frontal boundary combined with an upper level disturbance will bring about more showers and thunderstorms late this afternoon and through the overnight hours.

The aforementoined frontal boundary will stall out and become stationary over the region tomorrow.  Expect a lot of clouds with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Sunday looks a lot nicer with a good bit of sunshine.  Of course, I have to mention the chance of…wait for it…scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms.  Shocker, I know.

Our next front pushes through the region early on Tuesday.  That means another round of showers and thunderstorms are in store for Monday and the first half of Tuesday.  The second half of Tuesday and all of Wednesday look to be rather pleasant at this point.
