Clearing Skies for the NC Mountains 8-20-12

August 20, 2012North Carolinaadmin

Improved weather is in store for the High Country beginning today.  The front that brought about weekend rain is now to our south and will slowly continue to move away over the next couple of days.  Cloud cover will persist today but there will be intervals of sunshine.  An afternoon shower or two is not out of the question.  Temps will be near normal for this time of year.

Tomorrow will see further improvement as cloud cover decreases even more.  However, there will still be a chance for afternoon showers/thunderstorms as weak upper level disturbance move across the region.

High pressure will move into the region on Wednesday and will remain for the rest of the week.  This will make for some rather pleasant weather and we should stay dry through the end of the weekend.
