NC 12-16-11

A cold front is sitting right over top of the region right now.  As it slowly moves off to the east today, an area of low pressure will track to the northeast along the boundary.  Rain showers will pick up in intensity as we get into the afternoon and evening hours.  Temperatures will steadily fall throughout the day as well as the front pushes through the region.

High pressure builds into the region tomorrow behind the front.  Any leftover precip and clouds should be out of here by the afternoon, giving way to sunny skies.  Sunshine and colder temps will persist for the weekend before we begin to see a return to milder temps on Monday.  Another frontal system approaches on Tuesday.
