Snow totals across the region weren’t quite what was expected.  Here’s a quick look at what the ski resorts saw.

Beech – 2.7″
Sugar – 2″
App – trace
Cataloochee – trace

Like I said, not as impressive as I’m sure everyone was hoping, but awesome nonetheless to see some snow.

High pressure is settling into the region.  Sunny skies and chilly temperatures will persist through at least the first part of next week.  The only bump in the road is a weak, dry cold front that will move through early Saturday.  This will keep temperatures in check for the weekend.  There will be some cloud cover Saturday morning as a result, but that will clear out quickly.  Other than that, the weather will be rather calm over the next several days.
