NC 2-10-12

uLight snow showers have already begun across the NC High Country.  Expect these to continue overnight with no real accumulation.

A cold front will move through tomorrow morning.  It is going to be downright WINDY and COLD.  Wind gusts at higher elevations could possibly reach 50 mph and wind chills will be below zero at the ski areas.  The ski resorts are looking at 3-6″ of snow from this system by Sunday morning.  Everyone else can expect 1-3″.

High pressure begins to build in on Sunday but a northerly wind will keep things chilly.  Winds won’t be as bad as Saturday, but they will be rather gusty.  You can expect a lot of sunshine though.  It will be a bluebird, powder day.

We warm up a good bit on Monday and sunshine remains.  Temps will be warmer but they will be normal for this time of year.  It looks like a really nice day.  Our next system arrives on Tuesday and more snow is associated with it.
