The overall pattern we’re in right now is remiscent of last summer when it was scorching hot.  High pressure in the western Atlantic combined with an upper level ridge has produced some absolutely gorgeous, but unseasonably warm weather over the past few days.  It’s hard to believe it’s March.  Hopefully you have been able to enjoy the past several days because the next few involve showers and scattered thunderstorms.

High pressure will remain in control at the surface today.  However, an upper level disturbance will approach as the day goes on.  Clouds increase throughout the afternoon and a late day shower or thunderstorm is possible.

That disturbance passes overhead tomorrow, meaning we’ll see the continuance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures remain very mild though.

A backdoor cold front will bring more scattered showers and thunderstorms into play for the weekend.  Once again, temps remain on the mild side.

Sunshine and warm temps return once again next week as high pressure builds back into the region.  Tennis anyone?
