Today is the last day of winter, but it is going to feel more like summer.  High pressure is stationed in the western Atlantic, creating a southerly wind flow and an influx of warm, moist air into the region.  High temperatures today are going to be unseasonably warm, with many locations seeing highs in the low 70’s.  An isolated afternoon/evening shower or thunderstorm is possible.

That forecast for today applies for the rest of the work week as well.  Not much will change and each day will see very similar conditions as that area of high pressure remains in place.  It’s a setup more remiscent of June, not March.

A cold front moves through on Saturday, bringing cooler temps and rain into the picture for the weekend.
