Nice Today, Unsettled Weather Tomorrow NC 4-3-12

Quite a lot has changed since the forecast yesterday.  Snow now appears to be a good bet for most of the area as enough cold air is in place.  A low pressure system will pass to our south today and off the coast tomorrow.  Snow showers should commence shortly and we’re looking at 1-3″ for most of the area by the evening.  Winter is having one last hoorah.

A changeover to rain should take place late this afternoon and showers continue overnight and into Friday before tapering off around midday.  We should see the cloud cover lessen as tomorrow afternoon progresses but temperatures will remain on the cool side.

High pressure moves back in on Saturday.  The weekend looks rather nice with moderating temperatures and plenty of sunshine.  Next week we’ll see this warming trend continue and it looks like spring will finally be here to stay!
