Rain Tomorrow NC 11-26-12

Weak high pressure will keep sunshine in play for the first half of today.  Temperatures will be much warmer than in recent days.  It should be a really  nice day for skiing and snowboarding at the open ski areas.

Clouds increase this afternoon and overnight ahead of a cold front which will move through the region tomorrow.  Expect grey skies and showers to be greeting you when you wake up in the morning.  Normally I’d be bummed to see rain in the forecast when the ski areas are about to open, but we need it badly as it’s been very dry around here lately.  Rainfall totals won’t be all that impressive though and temperatures will be chilly.  The higher elevations could see a changeover to snow flurries Tuesday night.

High pressure moves back in on Wednesday and will stick around for several days.  Wednesday will see cooler temperatures but it won’t be terribly cold, and then things warm up a bit for Thursday and Friday as we’ll see near normal temperatures for this time of year and a lot of sunshine.
