Scattered Showers Today 10-18-12

A cold front approaches the region today and will pass through tonight.  This front produced some severe weather yesterday in Mississippi but that won’t happen for us.  We’ll only see scattered showers and clouds today.

Things should clear up nicely by the morning tomorrow as the front progresses off to the east.  Sunny skies return and temperatures will be somewhat on the cool side.

High pressure will be centered over the deep South on Saturday.  As a result, winds will be from a northwesterly direction which will allow colder air to infiltrate the region.  Temperatures across the High Country won’t get out of the 50’s even with an abundance of sunshine.  I personally love fall days like that.  Valley frost is possible Saturday night as radiational cooling takes place.

Sunday through the middle of next week sees high pressure remain.  It’s going to be really nice.  Temperatures moderate each day and by Tuesday we’ll be pushing 70 degrees for some locations.
