The January Thaw is Coming to an End WV 1-16-13

A stationary front remains to our south and east this morning.  Any scattered showers out there should taper off by the afternoon.  Another low pressure wave will track up and along the front beginning tonight.  It will be well to our south and the southern portions of the state look to benefit more from it.  Several inches of snow is not a bad bet for Winterplace with everyone else seeing much less, if any.

High pressure moves in on Friday and colder temperatures, albeit near normal, return.  Snowmaking looks to ramp back up and an abundance of sunshine will make for a rather pleasant Friday and Saturday at the ski areas.  A quick moving cold front passes through Sunday, keeping temperatures in check.  Another front moves through on Monday, and this one is bringing some of the coldest air of the season thus far.  Next week looks FRIGID.
