Unsettled Weather Ahead for the Next Few Days 9-28-12

Cloud cover increases today ahead of a slow moving cold front.  This frontal boundary will bring about scattered afternoon and evening showers that will last overnight as it moves through the region.  It will slowly move off to our south tomorrow but will still be in close enough proximity to create cloudy skies with a chance of scattered showers.

Sunday sees the brief return of sunshine and temperatures will be in the 60’s for most everyone.  Get out and enjoy it while you can because…

Monday through Thursday look to be less than ideal.  A low pressure system from the Gulf will begin to make it’s way across the Southeast on Monday.  Heavy rain, especially Monday night and Tuesday, is expected with this system as it is bringing a ton of moisture with it.  Look on the bright side, the ponds at the ski resorts will be getting filled!
