The cold front that I’ve talked about over the past couple of days has finally moved through the region. Colder air is starting to filter in behind it and will continue to do so. As a result, temperatures will be on the decline throughout the day. Heavy rain will persist into the afternoon before changing over to snow tonight. Snow showers will taper off by the morning tomorrow but accumulations look to be pretty impressive nonetheless. Bryce, Massanutten, and Wintergreen can expect 2-5 inches of snow by the morning.

Things clear out quickly tomorrow. Expect much colder temperatures to stick around throughout the weekend. A dry cold front will move through late on Friday. No precip is expected with this system though. In general, the weekend will be chilly but rather pleasant as sunshine will be abundant.
