Forecast DiscussionWe're Talkin' Weather Here

Last Updated: 05.22.13 08:42 AM

Summer-esque weather continues today with another dose of warm, muggy weather and afternoon showers and thunderstorms.  Southerly wind flow ahead of an approaching cold front will lead to the development of these storms this afternoon and they will continue into the overnight hours.

That front will move through tomorrow evening.  Showers and thunderstorms will continue throughout the day before precip begins to taper off in the late evening hours once the front has passed through.

Friday will see leftover cloud cover early on, and maybe even a stray shower or two, but then things clear up in the afternoon as high pressure begins to build in.  Temperatures are going to be much cooler though as highs will be a good 15 degrees below what they were during the first half of the week.  Temperatures Friday night are going to be chilly.  I'll only mention frost as a possibility, but as of right now those chances are slim.

The weekend looks fantastic!  Sunshine, comfortable temps, and drier conditions are going to make for a perfect few days.  I'm stoked!

Memorial Day and Tuesday will see a warm front move into our vicinity.  A series of disturbances will move across the region at the same time.  As a result, the chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms are re-introduced during this time period.
