A Beautiful Few Days Ahead

What a crazy 48 hours it has been.  We went from 70 degree temperatures on Monday to snow yesterday, and now today we’ll see a return to blue skies and warmer temperatures.  That’s early spring weather in the High Country for you though.

High pressure is currently centered over the Southeast.  Over the course of the next couple of days, it will track to the east and move off the Carolina coast.  Southwesterly winds associated with the high will allow for the transport of warmer air into the region.  As a result, we’ll see plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures today and tomorrow.  Highs tomorrow will reach the upper 60’s.

A mild disturbance will approach the area on Friday.  Showers and and an isolated thunderstorm are possible Friday night into Saturday, but those chances are slim right now.  The warmup will continue for the weekend.  By Sunday, highs will reach the mid 70’s for a lot of locations.

A cold front will bring the chance for some more stormy weather on Monday, but that’s still 5 days away.  It looks like Spring is finally here to stay!
