A Nice Couple of Days Ahead

Sorry about not posting a morning discussion before now.  I stopped by Blowing Rock on the way up this morning and messed with the camera at the Cliff Dweller Inn.  It hasn’t been running in a few weeks but it is now working and live once again.  We had several emails and calls asking about it as it is apparently a pretty popular cam.  You can head on over to the High Country Web Cams site or just click here to view it.

Now on to the weather.  There’s really not to much to talk about for the next couple of days.  High pressure will remain off the Carolina coast for today and tomorrow.  As a result, we’ll see a southerly wind flow which will bring an influx of warmer air into the region.  Highs will be in the low to mid 70’s through Wednesday.  There will be some scattered clouds visible for today and tomorrow as well associated with a front to our north.

A cold front will begin to approach the region on Wednesday.  We’ll see clouds begin to thicken throughout the morning, with afternoon showers and thunderstorms a distinct possiblity.  Showers and storms will continue overnight Wednesday as the cold front slides through the region.

Behind the front is much cooler weather.  Highs will be a good 5-10 degrees cooler on Thursday.  Friday brings even cooler temps, with highs struggling to reach the low 60’s.  Both days will be mostly cloudy with intermittent periods of sunshine and a slight chance of showers.
