A Return to Rain

After a weekend full of sunshine, we will see a return to some wet weather over the next few days.  Currently, a low pressure system is centered over Arkansas.  The possibility of a shower or two does exist today, but nothing of real significance is expected.  However, as the system tracks closer to our area tonight and into tomorrow, rain and cooler temperatures will invade the region.  Tuesday will be chilly and wet, with high temperatures only reaching the low 40’s and showers persisting throughout the day as a cold front presses forward across the area.  Showers will continue throughout Tuesday night before tapering off early Wednesday.  Rainfall amounts are not expected to be nearly as impressive with this system as compared to the past few .  Nonetheless, totals by Wednesday morning will still be in the half inch to three quarters inch range.

By late Wednesday we will see the clouds start to roll out.  High pressure will settle into the region for Thursday and Friday.  Blue skies will prevail and winds will be out of the southwest, meaning very warm temperatures.  Highs will be in the mid to upper 60’s for most of the region on Thursday and Friday!  Check your location for a more detailed forecast.
