A Summeresque Day

Today is going to be another great day to be outside.  We’re going to continue to see a southwesterly wind flow today and temperatures will be well above normal for this time of year.  We’ll have a few clouds out there but it will be sunny skies for the most part.

Changes are in store for tomorrow though.  A low pressure system currently located over the Southern Plains will begin to make it’s way into the region.  We’ll start to see the effects of the associated cold front early on tomorrow.  Expect thickening clouds in the morning and showers and thunderstorms to begin by midday at the latest.

Thunderstorms should conclude for the most part by midnight tomorrow, but showers will persist into Thursday.  By then, the cold front will be to our south and will have become stationary.  Temperatures will be much cooler behind it, and scattered showers will remain in the area.  This trend will continue into Friday.

The front will lift to our north as a warm front late on Friday.  Temperatures will warm up nicely for the weekend but we’ll still have scattered clouds and the ever so slight chance of an isolated shower or two.
