After a Windy Monday, More Great Weather Later This Week

After a very pleasant weekend, a dry cold front will cross through the region later today, bringing VERY gusty winds and colder temperatures.  The NWS has issued a wind advisory for most of the region, with wind gusts at higher elevations topping out at 60 mph, making for uncomfortable lift rides for the people who made it to the slopes today.  Highs today will be around 50 degrees before the passage of the front, with temperatures dropping behind it.  Lows tonight will dip into the 20’s so hopefully a few of the ski resorts will be able to make some snow.  The West Virginia resorts could even possibly see an inch or two out of this system.  High pressure will begin to build over the region again starting tomorrow, bringing more sun and blue skies.  High temperatures will increase each day through Friday, with highs in the 60’s at some resorts by Friday!  Enjoy the spring-like weather this week, as our next system of interest will enter the region on Saturday.  Check out the individual locations on the homepage for a more detailed forecast.
