Boone NC Weather Forecast 9-14-2012

Wow, what a week it has been!  You can’t ask for much better weather than what we’ve seen over the past several days.  Today will feature more of the same, so get out and enjoy it while you can because the pattern is about to change.

High pressure moves out of the region today ahead of an advancing cold front.  This front will move through overnight but since there isn’t a lot of moisture associated with it, precipitation is not expected.

The front will stall just to our south and linger over the course of the weekend.  Saturday looks to feature partly cloudy skies with a chance of scattered afternoon showers.  Sunday will see increased cloud and shower coverage.

An area of low pressure moving up from the Gulf will impact our weather for Monday and Tuesday.  Both days will see cooler temps and widespread showers.  We’re looking at some pretty decent precipitation amounts with this system as the rain will be heavy at times.

A strong cold front moves through Tuesday night, bringing about much cooler temps for the second half of next week.
