Cooler Weather For the Weekend NC 11-1-13

A cold front will make it's way through the region this morning.  Associated showers and storms are pretty much over with but the winds will continue to be gusty today.  We will see a clearing of the skies this afternoon and that will help temps rise into the mid 60's for a lot of folks.

A second front is slated to move through early tomorrow.  Mostly cloudy skies and a shower or two are in store for your Saturday and temps will be much cooler than today…chilly even.  Light snow showers should develop in the higher elevations near the NC/TN border at night, but accumulations are't expected.

High pressure at the surface will make for a pleasant, albeit unseasonably cool, Sunday and Monday.  Both nights will see most locations hit the freezing mark.

The area of high pressure will move off to the northeast and be off the New England coast by Tuesday.  This will turn wind flow to a southeasterly direction and bring more moisture into play.  The day starts off nice but clouds will build in throughout the day.  Wednesday sees even more clouds with only a light shower or two possible at best.  Temps will be several degrees warmer though.

Another cold front moves through Thursday.  Widespread showers will be a prelude to much cooler temps for the latter portion of next week.
