It Doesn’t Feel Like the First Day of April….

Well, today is the first day of April.  It’s hard to believe we’re already a quarter of a way through the year.  Time is flying.  I’d just like to give a little shout out to my grandma this morning.  It’s her birthday today.  Happy birthday Nanny!

Getting to the weather, conditions this morning aren’t reflecting the fact that it is April.  It’s fairly chilly outside and there were a few flurries visible on my way into work today.  My porch even had a dusting of snow on it.  Higher elevations did see a little more in the way of accumulation, but even those areas only saw a half inch to an inch at the most.  As expected, this wasn’t a significant event by any means.

The snow showers are over for now.  Today will be dry with mostly cloudy skies.  A quick moving clipper system is going to pass through the region tonight.  Snow showers will return tonight.  Just like last night, accumulations will be minimal at best.  I’m not really expecting anything except at the higher elevations.

A clearing of the skies will begin on Saturday.  We should see some sunshine by the afternoon but it will be very breezy.  Gusts could be up to 40 mph.  Sunday will be mostly sunny with milder temperatures.  Highs will be in the upper 50’s to around 60.  A warm front passes through the area later in the day on Sunday, allowing for even warmer temperatures on Monday, where highs will reach 70 for most locations.  Unfortunately, another system passes through Monday night, bringing more rain.
