The first day of spring is definitely going to feel like it for the High Country of North Carolina. Temperatures today will be in the mid 60’s for most of the area with plenty of sunshine. Tomorrow will even be a little warmer with highs reaching the low 70’s at some locations.
It’s a different story though for Virginia and West Virginia. A cold front will push through those regions later today, bringing showers and even the possibility of thunderstorms for some locations over the next couple of days.
A second, stronger cold front will then cross the entire region Wednesday night. Showers and thunderstorms are expected for NC as well with this front. Temperatures on Thursday will be 15-20 degrees colder than the previous day. Temperatues will stay relatively cool through the weekend. Check your location for a more detailed forecast.
