More Showers and Storms Monday NC 6-10-13

The first third of June sure has been a wet one.  That trend continues today unfortunately.  We're in a warm and humid airmass, ahead of an approaching cold front which will move through this evening.  The associated line of storms is in eastern Tennessee right now but will make it's way into the region in the next few hours.  Basically, it's another wet afternoon and evening.

A cloudy start to tomorrow morning will give way to sunshine and warmer temperatures in the afternoon.  Wednesday will be pretty toasty as the 80 degree mark will be eclipsed for a lot of locations.  As is the case lately, I have to mention the chance for some scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Another front will move through Thursday night.  Showers and thunderstorms commence in the mid-afternoon hours and will continue overnight.

We finally have a weekend with pleasant weather ahead of us!   High pressure moves in behind the frontal passage and Friday through Sunday will feature warm but drier conditions with a lot of sunshine.
