More Spring Weather Today, Rain by Sunday

High pressure continues to sit over the region.  Winds are from a southwesterly direction, ushering in warm air from the Gulf of Mexico.  High temperatures today will be the warmest we have seen all year, with some locations reaching 70 degrees.  It will be rather breezy though with gusts of 30-40mph.

A cold front is marching across the country right now and will cross the region tomorrow.  Clouds will start to thicken tonight and tomorrow will be cooler with rain showers beginning later in the day.   Sunday will be even cooler with high temperatures 20 degrees less than what they will be today.  Showers will persist throughout the day but rainfall amounts will not be significant.

We will warm back up on Monday and Tuesday next week before another system affects our weather.  The second half of next week looks very interesting right now as the models are showing a return to cold.  We’ll have to wait and see as it gets closer.  Check your location for a more detailed forecast.
