Nasty Start, Decent Finish…Nice Weekend Ahead

It’s a pretty gross start to the day out there.  The rain moved in last night and it was pretty heavy and consistent for a while.  Looking at CoCoRaHS, most everybody received right around an inch of rainfall.  There are still some showers across the region, but they aren’t very significant and shouldn’t really add to that tally.

An upper level low is moving across the region right now.  It will move off to the east today, bringing an end to showers by the afternoon.  High pressure will move in behind it, setting up a very nice weekend.   Temperatures will be slightly below normal for this time of year and we’ll see an abundance of sunshine.  There is a slight chance of some light precip Sunday morning, but overall it’s going to be really nice!

The first half of next looks to be dry and unseasonably mild as an upper level ridge sets up over the eastern portion of the country.  I don’t like the terms dry and mild in the forecast right now.  I’m ready for snow!  Oh well, at least I’ll get another week of tennis in.
