High pressure remains off the coast of the Carolinas.  Southerly wind flow will create very mild conditions across the region today and tomorrow.  We’ll see intervals of sunshine as cloud cover will be thick at times.

A cold front will move through the region early Friday morning.  Isolated showers are possible late tomorrow afternoon as the front edges closer to the region.  Rain will continue overnight Thursday, lasting through the day on Friday and into Friday night.  This is not great news for the ski areas.

High pressure builds into the region on Saturday.  Any leftover showers and clouds should begin to move out by lunch time.  The weekend will be cooler than the next few days, but still on the mild side.  Overnight lows Saturday and Sunday will be below freezing at the ski areas though so they should be able to lay down some manmade snow.

Unfortunately, temperatures moderate once again next week.
