One More Day

As the title of this discussion suggests, we’re gonna have one more day of chilly, wet weather today.  Yesterday was pretty terrible as the official high temperature for Boone was only 45 degrees and it rained pretty much all afternoon.  Luckily, after today things make a drastic turn for the better and the weekend is shaping up to be a beautiful one.

A strong upper level low continues to be situated over the region.  It will begin to slowly move off to the north today, but we will see showers continue today.  Temperatures will still remain below normal for this time of year, but will be a good 10 degrees warmer than yesterday.

Scattered showers will remain in the area overnight, but should taper off by late morning tomorrow.  Temperatures will rebound into the low to mid 60’s and we should see periods of sunshine in the afternoon.

Friday through Sunday look pretty nice as weak high pressure will move into the region.  High temperatures will increase each day and we’ll see a lot of sunshine.  A chance of showers and thunderstorms does exist for Sunday afternoon, but it’s not anything significant enough to get you bummed about.

It’s pretty crazy to think that high temperatures this weekend will be 30 degrees warmer than yesterday.  That’s spring in the High Country I guess.
