Rain in the Near Future VA 3-11-13

After a lovely weekend with sunshine and warmer temps, the next 24 hours sees the return of unsettled weather. A cold front is approaching the region and will move through tonight. Cloud cover will persist today and light showers are possible later this afternoon. However, the heavier rain arrives this evening and will continue overnight.

Light showers will linger into tomorrow morning but should taper off by the time you get to work. High temps tomorrow will be seasonable and intervals of sunshine will appear in the afternoon.

The colder air behind the front doesn’t arrive until tomorrow night.  Wednesday looks pretty chilly and a breezy wind will prevail.

Thursday and Friday looks pretty decent with moderating temps and a good bit of sunshine.  Friday will see more clouds though.

The weekend doesn’t look terrible, but it won’t be as good as this past one. A frontal boundary looks to keep clouds and precip chances, albeit low ones, in play for Saturday and Sunday.
