Scattered Showers Possibly All Week NC 4-29-13

While there is some sunshine out right now, the thinking today is that mostly cloudy skies will prevail with scattered afternoon showers.  The good news is that temperatures should be near normal today, a significant improvement over the weekend.

After a foggy start to the day tomorrow, late afternoon scattered showers are possible thanks to an upper level disturbance.  Temps will be bumped up several notches from today though.  The precip chances continue overnight and into Wednesday unfortunately as thunderstorms and showers are possible.  It  shouldn't be anything too severe though.

Thursday and Friday sees the return of cooler air as another wedge sets up.  Both days look to be rather cool and damp, with fog greeting you when you wake up each day.  Light precip will be possible as well.  Typical wedge conditions.

There's a lot of uncertainty about the weekend right now.  A low pressure system sets up over the central portion of the country and meanders there later this week.  The associated frontal boundary will be held at bay by a huge blocking ridge over the eastern US.  Right now, it looks like we'll see continued cloudy conditions with scattered showers for Saturday and Sunday.
