Skier’s Forecast Becomes Snowmaking Forecast for this week!

None of the ski areas are operating in the Southeast or Mid Atlantic today or through this week. With a somewhat milder than desired forecast for snowmaking crews it may be until after Thanksgiving before we see some consistent cold temps and skiing on the slopes.

WEST VIRGINIA SKI AREAS / MARYLAND

Monday: Hi 50° Lo 39° – Mostly Cloudy
Tuesday: Hi 47° Lo 40° – Rain
Wednesday: Hi 47° Lo 33° – Showers
Thursday: Hi 40° Lo 22° – Snow
Friday: Hi 42° Lo 25° – Sunny

Past that looks like a nice sunny weekend with highs in the 40s and lows in the low 30s. Monday through Wednesday of the following week looks wet with consistent showers.

VIRGINIA SKI AREAS WEATHER FORECAST (Based on Wintergreen)

Monday: Hi 61° Lo 44° – Mostly Cloudy
Tuesday: Hi 54° Lo 45° – Rain
Wednesday: Hi 60° Lo 38° – Showers
Thursday: Hi 55° Lo 28° – Partly Cloudy
Friday: Hi 53° Lo 29° – Sunny

The weekend looks partly cloudy with highs in the low 60s and lows in the mid 30s. Some showers are forecasted for early in the following week. Thanksgiving is looking mild.

Tuesday: Hi 48° Lo 37° – Rain
Wednesday: Hi 51° Lo 33° – Showers early, then sunny
Thursday: Hi 44° Lo 24° – Snow showers with some mix
Friday: Hi 48° Lo 27° – Sunny

The weekend looks sunny with highs on the low to mid 50s and lows in the 30-33° range. Monday and Tuesday of next week look rainy with showers and highs in the upper 50s and lows in the upper 30s.
