Snow Possible Tuesday WV 11-26-12

Weak high pressure will keep sunshine in play today. Temperatures will be warmer than in recent days.  It’s going to be a pretty nice start to the work week.

Clouds increase this evening ahead of an advancing cold front.  The northern portion of West Virginia will see snow showers overnight.  Accumulations won’t be significant, but an inch or two is possible by the morning for Snowshoe, Timberline, and Canaan.

Snow showers continue tomorrow mainly for the northern ski areas in the state.  Accumulations will remain minimal though.  In general, only a couple of inches is expected with this system for the favored locations.

High pressure moves back in on Wednesday and will stick around for several days. Wednesday will see cooler temperatures but it won’t be terribly cold, and then things warm up a bit for Thursday and Friday as we’ll see near normal temperatures for this time of year and a lot of sunshine.
