An upper level piece of energy is passing overhead this morning and is the reason for continued cloud cover and scattered drizzle. Things should clear out as the morning wears on and sunshine returns in the afternoon. Temperatures will remain on the cool side. A backdoor cold front moves through the region tonight and it looks like low temperatures will dip below freezing.
The weekend looks fantastic. High pressure will be in control, meaning sunshine and moderating temperatures. It will actually feel like spring! Sunday will actually see temperatures in the 60’s for a lot of locations.
High pressure over the western Atlantic will create a moist, southeasterly wind flow for Monday-Wednesday. Above average temperatures each day will be accompanied by partly cloudy skies. We can finally bust out the shorts and sandals!
