The Hottest Weather of the Year Thus Far is on The Way for the High Country

Wow, how perfect was yesterday’s weather?!  I’m sure all of us wish it cold stay like that all summer long!  Unfortunately, that’s not the case and the hottest temperatures of the year so far are going to move in for the weekend.

Today will feature more fantastic weather as high pressure at the surface remains in control.  It will be warmer than yesterday, but an abundance of sunshine and blue skies will make for another pleasant day to be outside.

A significant warming trend begins tomorrow.  High pressure at the surface will remain but an upper level ridge moves into region as well.  This feature has brought record-breaking temperatures to the middle portion of the country over the past few days.  Once it moves in, it appears that it will be with us through at least the early part of next week.  This means that after today, it is going to be HOT for a while!  We’ll see highs in the 80’s tomorrow and then Friday and Saturday is when the real heat arrives. High temps at a lot of locations will break 90 degrees both days.  HOT!  Sunday looks a little cooler, but it will still be unseasonsonably warm.

Summer has arrived!  It could be worse though.  Locations off the mountain, down into the Piedmont, will be dealing with 100 degree temperatures this weekend.  Ninety degree temperatures don’t sound nearly as bad when you compare it to that.
