Unsettled Weather Through Wednesday WV 1-14-13

A cold front is situated just off to our east this morning and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. It will linger there through Wednesday. During this time period, multiple waves of low pressure will develop and track along the frontal boundary. As a result, today through early Wednesday will feature a good bit of rain with a wintry mix possible Tuesday and Tuesday night for the northern portion of WV and western Maryland.

The front will finally begin to move off to the east on Wednesday. We’ll dry out and see a return of sunshine by the afternoon as high pressure begins to build into the region.  It will remain in control through Sunday and we’ll see seasonable temperatures and bluebird skies during this time period.  Snowmaking will resume at the ski areas, just in time for the holiday weekend!
