As the high moves off the Carolina coast today, wind flow turns to a southwesterly direction overnight. At the same time, a backdoor front will approach the region from the north. Tomorrow will feature mostly cloudy skies with isolated showers as the front becomes even closer in proximity.
A low pressure system will then approach Wednesday, with the associated cold front moving through during the afternoon hours. Widespread showers are in the forecast and the day looks to be quite dreary.
