A cold front will continue to cross the region today. In addition, an upper level disturbance moves through as well. As a result, we’ll see continued snow showers that won’t create too much in the way of accumulations. The higher elevations and ski areas could see 1-3″, but nothing more than that is expected.

High pressure builds into the region for tomorrow. Sunshine returns but we will see temperatures remain fairly cool.

Clouds increase throughout the day on Friday as our next frontal system approaches. The North Carolina and West Virginia ski areas will see scattered snow showers beginning overnight Friday and lasting throughout the day on Saturday. Unfortunately, the Virginia resorts are only going to see increased cloud cover. However, this arctic front will usher in MUCH colder air for the weekend for everyone.

Sunday sees high pressure move in once again and things will clear up nicely. Colder temperatures will persist, but sunshine will be abundant. It looks to be a VERY nice day at the ski resorts. u
