High pressure will briefly be over the region today. Sunny skies and very mild temps will be the story today.
An area of low pressure will work it’s way across the Deep South today, making it’s way up into Tennessee by the late afternoon. Cloud cover will increase overnight as the system approaches. Showers will begin tomorrow morning and last through Thursday morning, with the rain being very heavy at times. Rainfall totals are expected to be in the 1″ range.
A separate cold front will move through in the afternoon on Thursday. Cloud cover will remain but temperatures will be dropping throughout the day. Low temperatures overnight on Thursday will support snowmaking.
High pressure moves in on Friday and will remain through the weekend. Temperatures will remain CHILLY though, with highs only in the mid to upper 30’s for the holiday weekend. Lows each night will dip below freezing.
