WV 1-3-12

Here are the ski area snow totals over the past 24 hours:

Winterplace – 6″
Snowshoe – 8″
Canaan/Timberline – 10.6″
Wisp – 12″

Northwest flow continues today. Snow showers and flurries will continue and temperatures will remain bitterly cold. Wind chills will remain well below zero as the wind will be very strong at times.  Bundle up!

Things will die down for a bit tomorrow and temps will warm into the 20’s, but another cold front moves through tomorrow night. This front does not have a lot of moisture with it though, so while precip will be in the form of snow, significant accumulations are not expected.

High pressure begins to build into the region on Thursday, bringing milder temperatures with it that will last through the weekend. Rain is possible Saturday night.
