WV 12-16-11

A cold front is situated to the south right now. As it slowly moves off to the east today, an area of low pressure will track to the northeast along the boundary. Rain showers will persist for southern portions of West Virginia throughout the day. Temperatures will steadily fall throughout the day as well as colder air filters in behind the front.  By the evening, a change to snow is expected, but not significant accumulation is expected righ tnow.

High pressure builds quickly into the region tomorrow. Any leftover precip and clouds should be out of here by the morning, giving way to sunny skies.  A weak disturbance will move through Saturday night, creating a chance of light snow showers overnight.  Once again though, nothing of real significance is expected though.

Sunshine and colder temps will persist into Sunday before we begin to see a return to milder temps on Monday. Another frontal system approaches on Tuesday.
