Bluebird Day for Wednesday – Ski Southeast

Today’s featured image is from Massanutten Resort. This fantastic photo was shot by Logan Skinner of Neil Donnelly having a great time in the terrain park.

Today is definitely going to be a bluebird day and conditions are going to be fantastic as we head towards the weekend.

Most resorts have been able to make snow overnight which has the slopes looking refreshed and ready for play today.

It has been impressive to see how much snow the mountain op crews have been able to put down. (Be sure to #ThankASnowmaker!)

Be sure to visit the Snow Reports page for all of the conditions.

It has been a great season after the late start, and we hope to keep it rolling. Our own Brad Panovich shared his latest Skier’s Forecast last night.

More snow and cold on the way? That is going to make for an incredible weekend.

It is also going to be a busy weekend for MLK Weekend so if you are looking to hit the mountains, it is really important to start planning now.

A couple of our partners do have some availability/specials for this weekend.

  • Maggie Mountain Vacations near Cataloochee has limited availability for cabins, homes with hot tubs, and condos near Cataloochee for this weekend.
  • Snowshoe Rentals has some availability for this upcoming weekend as well.
  • If you are looking to spend the weekend in Gatlinburg, Stony Brook Cabins has minimum availability near Ober Gatlinburg, and Mountain Breeze Motel also has limited availability.
  • While they are booked solid this weekend, Slopeside Chalets at Winterplace has some availability for next week, and with the forecast, it would be a great place to visit.

Be sure to tell any of these incredible people that we sent you there and they will take great care of you.

As I mentioned, it is going to be a busy weekend and we are seeing a few resorts that already have limited availability for the weekend.

Wisp has announced they are sold out of lift tickets, rentals, and lessons for Saturday (1/16) and Sunday (1/17). They do have night lift tickets available for both days.

Massanutten still has limited availability for all amenities this weekend, but they are booking fast. Ober Gatlinburg has sold out of all tubing sessions until Jan. 17, but lift tickets are still available for those looking to ride there this weekend.

Be sure to check your favorite resort to see if you can purchase tickets online.
