March continues to not disappoint as another round of snow has fallen across the region, heavy snow for that matter. Anywhere from 4-12″ has already fallen at the ski areas and continued heavy snow today is going to add to that. Snow on the backside of the low pressure system is going to put down another 5-10″ for the higher elevations in central and northern West Virginia. Winterplace and Wisp are looking at another 2-5″, which is still awesome! Make sure to bundle up and be careful if you head outside today. It’s going to be rather brutal.
Light snow showers continue tonight through tomorrow night but additional accumulations will be minimal during that time period. It’s also going to be cold and very windy but a powder day will be in order for tomorrow.
Friday through Sunday will see drastically improved conditions. High pressure moves in and will make for a fantastic weekend. An abundance of sunshine and warmer temps will greet visitors to the ski areas. It looks like a perfect weekend to get some turns in.
Rain comes back into play for Monday, but let’s not worry about that right now.
