High pressure remains over the region once again today.  As the high progresses off the coast today, southerly winds will persist.  This will usher in mild, moist air that will not only lead to some fairly warm temperatures but also cause increasing cloud cover throughout the day.  We’re actually already starting to see those clouds this morning as I type this.  As moisture increases this afternoon we’ll see a slight chance for some light rain overnight.

Southerly wind flow continues for tomorrow ahead of an advancing cold front.  Cloud cover will remain for the most part and some isolated light showers are possible.  As the cold front edges closer by the late afternoon and evening, we’ll see showers become more widespread.  Showers continue overnight and this is when we’ll see the heaviest of the precipitation.

The front will move through during the early morning hours on Friday.  Showers should begin to taper off by then and the afternoon will see a clearing of the skies.  High pressure moves in again for the weekend and we’ll see more mild-ish temps.
