One More Day of Spring Weather

It’s going to be another very warm day across the North Carolina High Country.  Temperatures today will reach the low 70’s at most locations.  A cold front stalled to our north will allow for the presence of a few clouds.

That same front will make for some nasty weather for areas up into Virginia and West Virginia.  Rain and thunderstorms are expected for tonight and tomorrow.

A second system and accompanying cold front will enter the region from the west later tomorrow.  The orientation of this front will be north-south meaning all areas in the region will be affected.  Thunderstorms are likely Wednesday night.  Showers will taper off early Thursday for North Carolina and Virginia locations, while areas up into West Virginia could see the rain change to snow later in the day and lasting into the early evening.

Behind the front, temperatures will drop off dramatically.  Highs on Thursday and Friday will be 20-25 degrees colder than today and tomorrow.  We will have a day of sunny skies on Friday before more wet weather arrives for the weekend.  Check your location for a more detailed forecast.
