Runs for Buns Week Is Going To Be Great

Today’s featured image is from Beech Mountain. Those views never get old.

It is time to ski and board for a good cause.

Beech Mountain kicked off the Runs for Buns virtual auction on Monday as the resort teams up with the Colon Cancer Coalition to raise money and awareness for colon cancer.

The week wraps up with the annual Runs for Buns event on Saturday, March 6.

Runs for Buns is similar to a run or walk-a-thon, but it is done on the snow as you make laps on the slopes.

It is great to ski and ride for a great cause.

If you are unable to get to Beech Mountain on Saturday, you can participate in the virtual auction where they have some pretty sweet items up for grabs

You can check it out by clicking here.

The best part – the proceeds go to help support colon cancer screening, prevention, and patient support programs.

Our resorts do fantastic work in their communities, and we will highlight more special events over the month of March.

As for today, it is going to be a fantastic day on the slopes, and it looking like it will be an incredible week as well.

Brad shared his latest forecast last night, and it was pretty good news considering we are in March.

A handful of resorts were able to crank up snowmaking overnight to refresh the slopes, and the results are making for some fantastic conditions.

For the latest conditions, be sure to hop over to the Snow Reports page.

With a few snowmaking windows and dry days, this is shaping up to be another great week to be on the slopes.

The festivities will continue this evening at Canaan Valley Resort at 7pm.Let’s continue to celebrate what an incredible season it’s been so far. This winter saw an above average snowfall in the valley. Combined with our snowmaking efforts, the conditions this winter have allowed us to build a considerable snow base on the mountain.
