Fairly Pleasant Today, Cold and Wet This Weekend

As the title of this post suggests, today is going to be a fairly pleasant day.  We’ll see some sun, but generally it will be mostly cloudy out there with highs topping out at around 50 or so for most locations.

The weather over the weekend looks very interesting.  A cold front is going to situate itself over Tennessee and North Carolina by early tomorrow and will remain there through the weekend.  A disturbance originating in Texas will track along the front and bring rain to the region by midday Saturday, lasting into Sunday.  Temperatures will be chilly with highs only in the low to mid 40’s for both days.  Freezing rain is a definite possibility right now for Saturday night.  Rainfall amounts by Sunday night will be in the half to one inch range.

The system will clear out by Monday, but colder air will remain.  Another system will bring some more nasty weather by the middle of next week.  Check your location for a more detailed forecast.
