As I talked about yesterday, we are in the midst of a significant change in the large scale weather pattern right now. High pressure is currently over the region right now and will remain so throughout the weekend. Temperatures will be fairly cold today and tomorrow, but by Sunday we will see a drastic warmup with high temperatures on Sunday being 20 degrees warmer than those on Saturday. The highs on Sunday will be in the 50’s for the majority of the area making for spring like skiing conditions at the resorts. A dry cold front will pass through the region from the northwest Monday. While it is technically a cold front, temperatures will still be fairly cool during the daytime. Once the front exits, warmer air returns again by Tuesday and then we are looking at an extended period of sunny skies and warm weather. While we might have one more shot of cold air in early March, Spring appears to be coming early this year.
