Unsettled Weather Today and Tomorrow NC 5-10-13

Expect increasing clouds today ahead of an approaching cold front.  Temperatures will be on the warm side and scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected.  The unsettled weather continues tomorrow as the frontal boundary moves through.  More showers and thunderstorms will put a damper on the day.

A second front quickly moves through the region Sunday morning.  Precip should quickly taper in the early morning and blue skies, yes I said blue skies, will appear by the afternoon as high pressure moves in.  Temps are going to be much cooler though and Sunday night will see frost develop if the winds die down enough.

Monday will be even cooler as we'll see high temps that are a good 15 or so degrees below normal even as abundant sunshine persists.  Another chilly night will lead to another frost event, with some locations seeing a freeze.  Brrr.

Spring FINALLY arrives towards the middle of next week.  Tuesday through Thursday will see moderating temperatures as high pressure shifts off to our east and wind flow turns to a southerly direction.  We're looking at sunshine and temperatures in the 70's by Thursday!
